Alentejo donations for Haiti
01/20/2010: The American Red Cross is using social media to appeal for in donations in wake of the devastating magnitude-7.0 earthquake that rocked Haiti on Tuesday afternoon.
The worldwide relief organization posted on its Twitter feed early today that cell phone users could simply text "HAITI" TO 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross' efforts there.
The group also posted a YouTube video today of photos from a member of its delegation in another appeal for donations. Those who wish to help can do so right from the YouTube page containing the video.
You can also donate by visiting RedCross.org or by calling 800-RED-CROSS.
